I have a cute little dog named Yorkie! The name fits him so well, he is a Silkshire; that is a Yorkshire and Silky Terrier mixed. My sister has been trying to get me a dog since she first got her Cocker Spaniel 4 years ago from a co-worker. I was not ready to accept a full time pet at that time because I was facing shoulder surgery and it would have been difficult to take care of it at that time.
On occasion I would take care of her dog when she and her husband had to travel. I found myself missing the dog when she was not around. On my birthday January 17th of this year 2012 my sister decided that I should have a dog companion. She adopted Yorkie! I fell in love. I am like a mother with a baby, buying everything for the doggie! I now understand why people get so carried away with their pets. I also see that it can get very expensive to have a pet.
